Submitting a Delegation Request Following the DeadlineSubmitting a delegation request past the deadline established by the Procedure By-law impacts the openness and transparency of Council meetings as such requests are not reflected on the agenda, which is the document used to make the public aware of what will be considered at each meeting. Persons who, subsequent to the preparation of the agenda and prior to the commencement of a meeting, request to be heard and apply in writing to the Clerk, may only be heard upon majority approval of Council at the time of the discussion, if it is considered either a) urgent business; or b) related to matters listed on the agenda. Post-DelegationStaff reports required to provide further information as a result of a delegation shall be referred to the appropriate department and will be brought back to Council at the next appropriate meeting.
